‘War Crimes’ when U.S. Troops Do It; ‘Psychological Operations’ when Iraqis Do It

If American troops were killing enemies and leaving their bodies to rot in the streets where they fell, there would be an outcry from media personalities, politicians, and pundits about them committing “war crimes.” But Iraqis do it? Shrug.

It’s not that I think the Iraqis are doing anything wrong in this instance, but it is another easy way to see how the people at the highest levels of power in the U.S. hate it, and how they attack it with information and influence operations.

Read, “Iraqi forces wage psychological war with jihadist corpses,” from Reuters on Feb. 6.
