Public affairs for the U.S. armed forces released video on Jan. 6 that shows the U.S. Army moving equipment and troops to Poland in the latest action to counter the growing Russian threat to Eastern Europe.

The 24th Press Camp Headquarters published a video of 4th Infantry Division soldiers conducting “seaport operations in Germany” in preparation for a deployment to Poland. The caption to the video provides additional information on the deployment.

Approximately 446 tracked vehicles, 907 wheeled vehicles, and 650 trailers begin to offload from one of three ships transporting them, Jan. 6, at Bremerhaven Seaport in support of Atlantic Resolve. Soldiers assigned to 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, out of Fort Carson, Colorado, are receiving their ABCT equipment before onward movement to Poland for their nine month deployment training alongside multinational partners. . . .

Expect the U.S. to continue building up a presence in Eastern Europe to counter Russian hostility in the region for the remainder of the Obama administration. However, once the Trump administration begins, things could change.
