The DOD released a video showing how a medical student was amazed at a procedure she watched a doctor perform. She wanted to know how he became proficient at it and he spoke about his time in the armed forces.
One minor note: The video at least twice uses the term “special forces” and probably does so in an erroneous way. In other words, when a title on the video say, “These are special forces combat operatives, the best the U.S. military has to offer,” the producers likely meant to use “special operations forces” instead of “special forces.”
“Special Forces” refers to a particular Army unit; “special operations forces” refers to troops falling under the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
