I have a heard a number of people make excuses for why FBI Director James Comey remains an honorable man even as he failed to recommend prosecution of Hillary Clinton for her clear endangerment of American national security. People have said he did not want to be the one to take down a presidential candidate. Others have said he would have no support from the Obama regime if he recommended prosecution. Still others make different excuses.
I have no respect for Comey. And after watching this video in which Rep. Will Hurd, a Republican from Texas, makes clear how inexcusable Clinton's violation of national security was (and thus how inexcusable it was of Comey not to recommend her prosecution) I believe I am beginning to lose respect for anyone who still makes excuses for Comey.
Watch the approximately six-minute exchange between Rep. Hurd and Comey in the below video. Video is a user-created clip on C-SPAN.
